From 2000 to 2017 the journal was published under the title "Effective crisis management", since 2018 it has been renamed into "Strategic Decisions and Risk Management". 

In 2010, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation became a co-founder of the edition.

The editorial board of the journal includes well-known scientists - economists, representing the leading universities in Russia, Italy, Spain, Norway, Slovenia, Serbia and Taiwan.

The journal is included in the List of Scientific Reviewed Publications of the Supreme Attestation Commission (SAC) under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Periodicity: 4 times a year. Edition: 1900 copies.
