KOSTROMA REGION: RESULTS, PROBLEMS, DEVELOPMENT LINES

Abstract

Kostroma region is one of the fast-growing regions in Russia. Industrial policy of Kostroma region is aimed at creating highly efficient industrial complex with rational constitution and structure that will be able to provide competitive products, employment of population and stable budget revenues on all levels. Unique cultural heritage of Kostroma region is an essential part of the Russian history, national spiritual values of the country. In 2013, Russia will be celebrating great anniversary, 400 years after the end of the Time of Trouble, election of the first tsar of Romanov dynasty and renewal of Russian national identity. Romanov festival is carried on in Kostroma annualy.

Ph.D. in Legal Science, Governor of Kostroma region since 2007, Active State Advisor of the RF of the 1st level, Member of the State Council of the Russian Federation. Has been awarded Order of Honor “For labor achievements and years-long faithful work” (2009), the International Academy of Social Sciences’ honorary title of “Governor of the year”, grand-prix “Golden Laurel Branch” (results of 2009) and other awards.
